Healthy Lifestyle challenge 

Participants will be awarded points for the completion of activities that we consider to be important to lead a healthy lifestyle. The goal is to achieve at least 80% completion of the activities for this challenge and in your continued healthy lifestyle. Ideally, 100% completion is best, but we understand that life gets in the way. Our mission is to use this challenge as a framework for a healthy lifestyle that will eventually become like second nature to you and become part of your daily routine.

What you will learn

We all need to make money, tend to our family or friends, eat, and sleep on a daily basis. Do you find yourself working too much or eating too much and sleeping not enough?

Right, I’m supposed to workout and do cardio, but I should probably get to those emails instead, or I don’t feel like making food so I’ll go get fast food, or I can’t eat the same meal days in a row, eww!  It’s how you train your mind folks!

I would do this simply to save time and money by not having to cook every day or spending $15 on lunch at a restaurant which also takes more time away from your work.  I tend to overeat so preparing my meals helps with portion control and I make healthy foods.

Small actions every day means more than one day full of activity.  Think of brushing your teeth for 4 minutes a day means no cavities at the end of the month.  You wouldn’t brush 1 day a month for 4min x 30days = 2 hours would you?  You would get cavities, the same works with healthy living!

Doing a lot of exercise, think you eat healthily, get enough sleep, but still not losing weight?  Sometimes it just takes a small tweak to make a big difference.

I have many tips in this arena.  I ride my bike to work that is 1 mile away, I pace while training clients to get more steps, I go on walks with my dog and child, Etc…

Stress increases a hormone called Cortisol which halts your body’s ability to burn fat as fuel and stunts muscle growth, we need to control stress folks!

I will help you uncover what you need to be healthy.

Here I am folks ready to lead you on your healthy lifestyle challenge.  I call it a war because I have been battling weight loss my whole life.  The war is lifelong and we just have to keep winning battles, we can lose some, but we must win more than we lose.  I will be participating as a challenger so you will see me on the scoreboard.   I like to lead by example so this will be a wonderful opportunity for me to do that.   I hope you join me and the others on this journey!
